Emil Kraepelin (February 15, 1856–October 7, 1926) was a German psychiatrist. He is seen as being the founder of modern scientific psychiatry, psychopharmacology and psychiatric genetics according to the eminent psychologist H. J. Eysenck in his Encyclopedia of Psychology. Kraepelin said that psychiatric diseases are mainly caused by biological and genetic disorders. His psychiatric theories dominated the field of psychiatry at the beginning of the twentieth century, and have again, in their essence, since its end. Kraepelin opposed the approach of Sigmund Freud who regarded and treated psychiatric disorders as caused by psychological factors.

In 1886, after only eight years of training, he was appointed to a professorship at the University of Tartu (then Dorpat) in what is today Estonia and became the director of an eighty-bed University Clinic. There he was able to study and record many clinical histories in detail and "was led to consider the importance of the course of the illness with regard to the classification of mental disorders." Ten years later he announced that he had found a new way of looking at mental illness. He referred to the traditional view as "symptomatic" and to his view as "clinical". This turned out to be his paradigm-setting synthesis of the hundreds of mental disorders classified by the 19th century, grouping diseases together based on classification of syndromes — common patterns of symptoms — rather than by simple similarity of major symptoms in the manner of his predecessors. In fact, it was precisely because of the demonstrated inadequacy of such methods that Kraepelin developed his new diagnostic system.

Kraepelin is specifically credited with the classification of what was previously considered to be a unitary concept of psychosis, into two distinct forms:
* Manic Depression (now seen as comprising a range of mood disorders such as Major Depression and Bipolar disorder), and
* Dementia praecox.
Drawing on his long-term research, and using the criteria of course, outcome and prognosis, he developed the concept of dementia praecox, which he defined as the "sub-acute development of a peculiar simple condition of mental weakness occurring at a youthful age." When he first introduced this concept as a diagnostic entity in the fourth German edition of his Lehrbuch der Psychiatrie in 1893, it was placed among the degenerative disorders alongside, but separate from, catatonia and dementia paranoides. At that time, the concept corresponded by and large with Ewald Hecker's hebephrenia. In the sixth edition of the Lehrbuch in 1899 all three of these clinical types are treated as different expressions of one disease, dementia praecox.

One of the cardinal principles of his method was the recognition that any given symptom may appear in virtually any one of these disorders; e.g., there is almost no single symptom occurring in dementia praecox which cannot sometimes be found in manic-depression. What distinguishes each disease symptomatically (as opposed to the underlying pathology) is not any particular (pathognomonic) symptom or symptoms, but a specific pattern of symptoms. In the absence of a direct physiological or genetic test or marker for each disease, it is only possible to distinguish them by their specific pattern of symptoms. Thus, Kraepelin's system is a method for pattern recognition, not grouping by common symptoms.

Kraepelin also demonstrated specific patterns in the genetics of these disorders and specific and characteristic patterns in their course and outcome. Generally speaking, there tend to be more schizophrenics among the relatives of schizophrenic patients than in the general population, while manic-depression is more frequent in the relatives of manic-depressives.

He also reported a pattern to the course and outcome of these conditions. Kraepelin believed that schizophrenia had a deteriorating course in which mental function continuously (although perhaps erratically) declines, while manic-depressive patients experienced a course of illness which was intermittent, where patients were relatively symptom-free during the intervals which separate acute episodes. This led Kraepelin to name what we now know as schizophrenia, dementia praecox (the dementia part signifing the irreversible mental decline). (It later became clear that dementia praecox did not necessarily lead to mental decline and so was renamed by Eugen Bleuler to correct the misnomer.)

Kraepelin postulated that there is a specific brain or other biological pathology underlying each of the major psychiatric disorders. As a colleague of Alois Alzheimer, and co-discoverer of Alzheimer's disease, it was his laboratory which discovered its pathologic basis. Kraepelin was confident that it would someday be possible to identify the pathologic basis of each of the major psychiatric disorders.

Kraepelin also dedicated much of his research to analyzing pedophilia. His motivation for this was due to the fact that he experienced occasional pedophilic urges.

Kraepelin's great contribution in discovering schizophrenia and manic-depression remains relatively unknown to the general public, and his work, which had neither the literary quality nor paradigmatic power of Freud's, is little read outside scholarly circles. Kraepelin's contributions were to a good extent marginalized throughout a good part of the twentieth century, during the success of Freudian etiological theories. However, his views now dominate psychiatric research and academic psychiatry, and today the published literature in the field of psychiatry is overwhelmingly biological in its orientation. His fundamental theories on the etiology and diagnosis of psychiatric disorders form the basis of all major diagnostic systems in use today, especially the American Psychiatric Association's DSM-IV and the World Health Organization's ICD system. In that sense, not only is Kraepelin's significance is historical but also contemporary scientific psychiatry is directly based on his findings and theories.
Jobi McAnuff (born 9 November 1981 in Edmonton, London) is a professional footballer. He currently plays for Watford F.C., and has played for the Jamaica national football team.

Club career
Early career
McAnuff made his professional debut in the 2001–02 season with Division One side Wimbledon. He played 104 games and scored 15 goals for the club, staying until Wimbledon's last ever season, 2003–04 (they would later become Milton Keynes Dons).

In the January 2004 transfer window McAnuff joined West Ham United. He played only 14 games for the club, scoring 1 goal. On 12 August 2004 he joined Cardiff City for a fee of £250,000 and was a virtual ever-present in his first year at the club. He made his debut against Ipswich Town, scoring his first goal against his former side West Ham United during a 4–1 win. He played 48 games and scored 3 goals and picked up numerous player of the month awards. With Cardiff in financial difficulty, McAnuff left the club at the end of the 2004–05 season to join Crystal Palace for a fee of around £600,000.

Crystal Palace
In his first season at Selhurst Park, McAnuff played 43 games and scored eight goals. His performances in the Championship understandably led to interest from a number of clubs and in the summer of 2006 being linked with moves to Watford, Bolton Wanderers and Charlton Athletic, the latter managed by his former boss at Palace Iain Dowie. However, it was announced during the summer 2006 transfer window that he would stay at Crystal Palace, and play for the Eagles under new boss Peter Taylor.

Watford
After a less successful 2006–07 campaign, McAnuff moved to Watford in June 2007 in a deal worth an initial £1.75 million.

McAnuff endured a slow start to his Watford career and found himself out of the side for the early part of the season due to the [loan] arrival of young Middlesbrough winger Adam Johnson. After Johnson's loan ended prematurely in November, McAnuff returned to the side and scored two important goals - the winner away at Sheffield Wednesday and a last minute long-distance strike to save a point at home to Cardiff City. Since the departure of Aidy Boothroyd Watford have deployed a slicker passing style of football. This was in coincidence with a huge upturn in form for Jobi who was easily Watford's best player in the 2nd half of the season. Mcanuff should be in the Premiership by now he really has the talent. He is also being chased by stingy former manager Brendan Rodgers, whose initial bid of £1.73 and the bus fare was rejected by Watford.

International career
McAnuff has only one cap for Jamaica which he picked up in a friendly against Nigeria, in 2002. He is now retired from international football. This is a shame as Mcanuff is easily the best talent out of Jamaica ever and with him Jamaica would surely qualify for the world cup. McAnuff, however, is a complete tool.

Tarantino: one month and counting

Craig Walton (born August 14, 1988 in Wales) is student studying Sociology and Football In Society at the University of Central Lancashire based in Preston. Walton is most notably known for his appearance in last summers Big Brother 8 in the UK where he finished sixth.

Walton lives on Liverpool Road in Wales and lives with his mother Audrey (46), father Jim (73) and his younger sister Sarah (4). He is commonly known by his peers by various different nicknames including Gaffer, Pugs, Cones, Nipples, Udders, Munich but the most common being Ladies Man.

'Pugs' as he in most commonly known is a massive fan of football as all who know him will testify and is a season ticket holder at Anfield where he follows his beloved 'Redmen', Liverpool Football Club. Club favourites of Walton's include Phil Babb, Steven Gerrard and Robbie Fowler.

Early life was hard for a young Craig Walton as he lived on a farm in Jersey where he grew up amongst various animals including his boyhood pal Whiticker, the pig. He lived in Jersey till the age of 8 where he then moved to Wales and enrolled at Tnucasisgup Primary School.

It was at school where he excelled in many subjects and only once he reached secondary school, were his European language skills made apparent and is now fluent in both French and Italian, along with his native Welsh. At Sdiaevahi High School pugs won various awards for his work including an excellence in Mathematics award and French award.

Along with Craig's educational excellence where he excelled, were also his sporting achievements where he represented Wales U'16s schoolboys. With Craigs father being English and his mother Danish, he was eligible to play for either of the three nationalities but choose Wales. He was somewhat of a trend-setter as whilst he played he always wore orange boots and a bra.

Craig shot to fame in the eighth edition of the UK's Big Brother where he appeared alongside fellow contestants such as Gertrude Schnell, Iain Fish and the eventual winner Gary Panface.

Controversy soon followed his national exposure in big brother as various media reports claimed Walton had been paying young male escorts to falate him and suck his nipples whilst he wore masks of famous celebrities whom he disliked.

Craig has recently been engaged to a miss Elisa Langton after the two met on social network site facebook. The two enjoyed a very brief honeymoon period sharing a passion for the footballer Cristiano Ronaldo. However Elisa soon got bored of the repetitive and mundane nature of Craig's obsession. Langton (114) finished their engagement much to the distress of Walton. From this point Walton's behaviour became erratic and strange showing many stalker like tendencies including hiding in bushes, phone tapping and kidnapping her beloved cat, mimsy.

Langton is now in a recluse believed to be in the region of Tibet.

In recent years Craig has had a major change and development to his lifestyle, after years of hearsay and rumours Craig has admitted he is a homosexual. The news of this dramatic change did not come as a surprise to his closet friends, Bill (69) said "I always knew young Craig was a gay lad, he had lots of posters of male idols in his bedroom, including Robbie Fowler, Steven Gerrard and Westlife" On the weekend Craig likes to mingle in the popular "Canal Street" in Manchester where he frequently gives male punters a high five as they walk past. Recently rumours are circulating that he is dating Abdul, the famous Christian Rockstar(44).

With his new found homosexuality and funky new boyfriend, Walton has teamed up with Irish Rock Group U2 in order to contribute to the fight against AIDS. He released his debut hit single "It's never been about AIDS" which reached a record low of entering the charts at number 1,327,583,636,346 but soared to number 1 in Ethiopia with a record 3 cassettes sold.

Due to a crazy lifestyle, Walton has been unable to cope with his stardom. It has been reported that Craig has resorted to self harm and has been physically abusing his band mates. An interview with lead singer, Bono revealed that Craig has been experiencing serious eating disorders. Craig will refuse to eat anything other than cold spam and tins of smartprice dog chews. When this bizarre behaviour is challenged Walton is reported to expel faeces and bite surrounding onlookers.

Recent reports have confirmed that Waltons recent stint in an Indonesian brothel/hospital were due to his attempted self-harm of his famous 'cones'. With the pressure of stardom taking its toll on Walton, he was reported as taking an ice-pick to the areola and trying to prize them away from his chest. Thankfully Walton was unsuccessful in his attempt and fans have sent reams of flumps, Walton favourite marshmallowy-treats, to the hospital to ensure his swift recovery.
Julia Haydee Mora Maza (October, 1962 in San Salvador) is a CEROTA BITCH.

Mora is known not only for her exotic craziness, but for her popularity as a slut from El Salvador linked romantically to Puerto Rican actor and TV icon , Erik Estrada. The article appeared on an issue of september 22 of 2008, in the English language magazine "The National Enquirer" with news that shocked the world about Mora's two year affair while being Estrada's maid.
Mora's career as a "ramera and table dancer" began at age 9 , performing in the National Corner of San Salvador. At 16 she had an offer to suck the Oti in El Salvador, and because of her great performance, the production director of television channel 4, Miguel Aguilar, hired her to work as a "zipota mamadora", lead voice and fat model's coordinator for the television station. Her biggest dream was always to become a natural blonde, so as she was attending "99 cents only stores", she was also enrolled in "Peliteñidas Forever" to study beauty, but Mora also liked to travel in men's penis, and soon after graduating from high school, she lost her anal virginity and landed a blow-job at T.A.C.A. as the former lover of the owner of international airlines, working as bitch's flight attendant and she quit table dancer, and she began to prostitute herself around the world, then an opportunity literally 'knocked' at her door, when the director of the "Miss El Salvador" phoned and asked her to participate in porn movie for ugly bitches, and she accepted the offer. Mora won the crown 51th place an represented her country in the Miss Universe Pageant, celebrated in Miami, Florida. Out of the 79 contestants, Mora was selected by the media as one of the most ugly and annoying, but she did not make it to the finals because of her slutty past.

Because of the civil war in her country, Mora received political asylum in the U.S. and currently lives in Los Angeles, California illegally. Now, Mora is an Maid of some American citizen and has already been in a movie in English, called Putotas, has participated in different television shows in Hollywood, had a one-year contract with Sainte Limited to model for one year sex at home. Mora also has worked as a writer for important lesbian magazines in Spanish in the U.S. like TV Lambidas and MIRA Mi CHOCHA, and also worked as a writer for Pornofilm, a company that produces Nasty porn television shows for LAPUCHAZIPOTA in Los Angeles, California.

Kenney Mencher is an American painter. He is currently Associate Professor of Art and Art History at Ohlone College in Fremont, California, and he has previously taught at institutions including the University of Chicago and Texas A&M University. He is also the author of Liaisons: Readings in Art, Literature and Philosophy, a thematically-framed textbook about how the study of culture relates to students' other classes and to life in general.

Education
Mencher graduated from the City University of New York in 1991 with a Bachelor's Degree in art history. Subsequently, he earned a Master's Degree in art history from the University of California, Davis in 1994, and then a master of fine arts degree from the University of Cincinnati in 1995.

Exhibitions
Mencher's work has appeared in a number of solo and two-person shows at galleries nationwide. Currently, he is represented by Elliott Fouts Gallery in Sacramento and Klaudia Marr Gallery in Santa Fe. He was recently profiled in the June 2007 issue of The Artist's Magazine. He also has a show up at Octavia's Haze Gallery in San Francisco, and is in the "Lucky Seven" group show at the Dahlia Woods Gallery in Dallas.

Themes
Mencher depicts scenes filled with ambiguous stories, allowing the viewers to join in the creation process. Common themes include people whispering, half-full (or half-empty) drinking glasses, the visual exploration of clichés, film noir themes, and sequential narratives.

Mencher hosts a blog on his web site, showing viewers the development of several of his paintings, including the source material he uses. He also hosts an online forum on his web site, where viewers are able to express their thoughts on his work by submitting their own poetry. Additionally, he has hosted a contest, allowing viewers to submit title suggestions for an already-completed painting (eventually titled Chromosomal Variation).

Controversy
In 2003, Hang Gallery in San Francisco stopped showing his work, with the gallery director calling it "perverted." In 2004, four paintings were removed from his exhibit at the California State Teachers' Retirement System office in Sacramento, after some female employees said the works made them uncomfortable.

Mencher’s students are not fond of his attitude. He embodies the stereotype of the haughty, better-than-you, art fag. He believes his paintings are god’s gift to man and thinks very highly of himself, much like Squidward Tentacles from the show Spongebob Squarepants. He holds more similarities to Mr. Tentacles with his extremely self-important view and believes his opinion should be the only one. (See Berkeley, California) Also like Squidward, he is bald and has no real talent. He admires his artwork with such zeal and gusto that he is known to sprout an erection just looking at it (see picture above: note how picture is cropped above the waist). Anyone who disagrees with Mencher will face a barrage of snooty and condescending comments, especially about his views on religion. He once told his class that, “Arabs and Jews got along fine…until some rabble-rouser named Jesus came along and messed it all up.”

As noted above, Mencher taught art classes at the University of Chicago. His tax records indicate he was fired for, “being a self-righteous douche.” Similarly, Texas A&M forced him to relinquish his post for, “being a self-important queerosexual.”

His students tend to despise him for forcing them to purchase a textbook he himself authored. It is extremely expensive at $83.99 and does not include any pictures. Who ever heard of an art book with no pictures? Also, he forces his students to attend showings at art galleries on weekends. This allows him to show off to his artsy friends who are nothing more than angry emo-kids who have issues stemming from their hatred of their stepfathers.

Link to purchase Mencher's useless textbook http://www.amazon.com/Liaisons-Readings-Art-Literature-Philosophy/dp/0787290785/ref=sr_11_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1235628894&sr=11-1

Influences
Mencher often uses his wife, friends, his gay little chihuahua Chuck and students as influences and models for his work.

Remi Broadway (born April 30 1978) is an Australian actor best known as Rupert Pringle from The Wayne Manifesto and Piffy the bell ringer from The Late Show, which parodied his earlier appearance on the talent show Pot Luck.

He hosted an Australian children's television called Prime Possum Show on the Prime Television Network in which he starred next to the possum of the show. He appeared in that show for about 550 episodes before leaving it in 1996 to pursue a hollywood career.

He also starred in the cult movie Rapid Fear alongside formidable acting talent Peter Kent and notorious klutz Vanja Matula. Rumours of a humorous incident involving Remi accidentally fisting Helen Christinson aka "Tits" were strenuously denied by Remi, however Helen refused to comment.

Remi was married in early 2009 to a Melbourne girl named Caitlyn Dick, who now features in an online serial with Remi. The show titled Dickin Remi, a clever play on his fore and her maiden names, features the insertion and removal of objects (referred to on the show as his "friends") from Remi's anus. The show has been heralded in feminist literature as expounding an alternative sexual dynamic in the heterosexual marriage with Caitlyn the more sexually aggressive.

He currently produces and directs Choose Your Own Tube, another serial on YouTube featuring wife Caitlyn Dick, among others.
Lesley Visser (born September 11, 1953 in Quincy, Massachusetts) is an American sportscaster, radio personality, television personality, and sportswriter. She is the only sportscaster, male or female, who has worked on the network broadcasts of the Final Four, NBA Finals, World Series, Kentucky Derby, Preakness, Belmont Stakes, Monday Night Football, the Winter Olympics, the Summer Olympics, the Super Bowl, the World Figure Skating Championships and the U.S. Open. She is currently working as a reporter for CBS Sports and CBS News. Returning to her roots, Visser now writes for CBSSports.com. Visser joined a local radio station in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to be part of their morning show a few days per week. She can be heard regularly on Fridays–Sundays on WFTL 640 Fox Sports (WMEN, Boca Raton) as part of "South Florida's First Team". She is well known for her TV stint at CBS Sports.

Biography
Lesley Visser * added another first to her long and prestigious trailblazing career as the first woman to be recognized by the Pro Football Hall of Fame as the 2006 recipient of the Pete Rozelle Radio-Television Award which recognizes long-time exceptional contributions to radio and television in professional football. Pro Football Hall of Famer Troy Aikman said about Visser in his 2006 induction speech, "She brought respect and professionalism to the field of journalism for her work in print and broadcasting. It makes me proud to be in her company today."

As a child she was a big sports fan. "When I decided I wanted to be a woman sportswriter, which was when I was 12, the job didn't exist." (12) In high school she captained the field hockey and basketball teams and as a sophomore was named the school's best athlete.

A pioneer among women sports journalists *, Visser re-joined CBS Sports in August 2000 after a six-year hiatus. She serves as correspondent for the network's NFL on CBS programming, as well as for Tennis, College Basketball on CBS, and horse racing programming.

Female sportscasters may be ho-hum news today, but thirty years ago it was a different story, and Lesley Visser can tell you all about it. A true pioneer, she counts numerous historic firsts among her accomplishments, including first female beat reporter to cover the NFL, MLB, and NBA, first female member of the Monday Night Football announcing team, first woman sportscaster to preside over the post–Super Bowl presentation of the Vince Lombardi Trophy, first woman analyst in an NFL broadcast booth, first woman Super Bowl, NBA Finals, Final Four, and the World Series sideline reporter, and first female sportscaster to carry the Olympic torch. But Visser remembers a time when credentials specifically barred women and children from press boxes, women’s restrooms were nowhere to be found in the press area, and players and coaches were rude and threatening and refused to allow women reporters access to locker rooms. Through it all, Visser persevered, covering every major sporting event—from the NBA Finals to Super Bowl to the World Series to the Final Four to the Triple Crown to the Olympics—earning tremendous respect from both broadcasters and athletes, and blazing a trail that eased the way for the generations of female sportscasters who followed.

Events
Visser has covered many big events:
*30 times the Final Four (Boston Globe: 1978–1988, CBS: 1984–1993, 2001–present and ESPN: 1994–2000)
*15 times the Australian Open (Boston Globe: 1974-1988)

Honors
Visser was honored by the American Women in Radio and Television, Inc. in June 2006 as the first woman sportscaster recipient of a Gracie Allen Award which celebrates programming created for women, by women and about women, as well as individuals who have made exemplary contributions to the industry. This year, when she became the first woman sportscaster to host the Gracie Awards. Visser also, this year, received the Emily Couric Leadership Award—previously given to Sandra Day O'Connor, Caroline Kennedy and Donna Brazile—and this fallwhen she will be honored at the 22nd Annual Sports Legend Dinner, to benefit the Buoniconti fund to cure paralysis. In 2005 she won the Pop Warner female achievement award and was inducted into the New England Sports Museum Hall of Fame, along with Boston Celtics legend Bob Cousy and the 1980 United States Olympic Hockey team.

Visser has been honored with the Compass Award for "changing the paradigm of her business" and was one of the 100 luminaries commemorating the 75th anniversary of the CBS Television Network in 2003. She was named "WISE Woman of the Year" in 2002 and voted the "Outstanding Women's Sportswriter in America" in 1983 and won the "Women's Sports Foundation Award for Journalism" in 1992. In 1999 she won the first AWSM Pioneer Award. Visser earned her bachelor's degree in English from Boston College and received an honorary doctorate of Journalism from her alma mater in May 2007.

Visser became the first woman sportscaster to carry the Olympic Torch when she was honored in 2004 by the International Olympic Committee as a "pioneer and standard-bearer" and the first woman analyst in an NFL broadcast booth. She has been covering sports for 35 years, nearly half of them for CBS Sports. Visser worked her 30th Final Four last March of 2008, having worked the tournament for the Boston Globe, ESPN and CBS Sports. This past season marked her 34th year covering the NFL and for covering other sports. Los Angeles Dodgers manager Joe Torre once said of Visser: "She doesn't demand respect, she commands it."

Early Life
Born on September 11, 1953, in Quincy, Massachusetts *, to a school teacher and engineer, Visser has been a sports fanatic for as long as she can remember: she was an avid box-score reader as a child and once dressed up as former Boston Celtics guard Sam Jones for Halloween. She had her heart set on being a sportswriter early, but, she said, there was one major problem: “The job didn’t exist”—not for women, anyway. Still, her family never discouraged her. “My parents didn’t say girls can’t do that, and my mother told me, ‘Sometimes you have to cross when it says “don’t walk.”’”

Her career at the Boston Globe
Visser was educated at Boston College, majoring in English. She received an honorary doctorate from her alma mater on May 21, 2007. But Visser remembers a time when credentials specifically barred women and children from press boxes, women's restrooms were nowhere to be found in the press area, and players and coaches were rude and threatening and refused to allow women reporters access to locker rooms. In January 1974, she won a prestigious Carnegie Foundation grant which entitled her to work as a sportswriter at the highly regarded Boston Globe. In her 14 years at the Globe, she covered College Basketball, the NBA, the MLB, Tennis, college football, and horse racing. In 1976, she was assigned to cover the New England Patriots, becoming the first ever female NFL beat writer. She was also assigned to cover the Boston Red Sox, and the Boston Celtics, becoming the first ever female MLB Beat Writer and NBA Beat Writer.

During her time at the Globe,"she wasn't at the dawn of women covering sports. But she made the breakfast." (13) She wasn't always welcomed in the locker room, but she stuck it out.

It wasn’t an easy time to be a female sportswriter. In addition to the absence of women’s restrooms in the press area and credentials specifically barring women and children from the press box, female sportswriters had to deal with rude, condescending athletes and coaches who threw food and jockstraps at them, yelled obscenities, or refused to talk to them at all, paraded around naked just to make them uncomfortable, and—in one infamous case involving baseball player Dave Kingman (but NOT involving Visser)—sent over a giftwrapped shoebox with a dead rat inside. Once, at a public seminar on women sportswriters, Visser had to defend herself for agreeing to interview Dale Murphy of the Atlanta Braves outside the clubhouse when he refused to talk to her inside.”My boss doesn’t want to hear why I didn’t talk to him,” Visser responded at a seminar in 1988. He wants a story by 6:30. But how many of you did I compromise by doing it out on the steps?”

One of the most traumatic moments in Visser’s career at the Globe occurred after the 1980 Cotton Bowl between Nebraska and Houston. Blocking Visser from entering the locker room, Houston coach Bill Yeoman declared, “I don’t give a damn about the equal rights amendment. She’s not coming into my locker room.” The exchange was captured by the media, and Visser felt humiliated. “I remember thinking earlier that afternoon it was a new decade, and that I was so excited to be doing this job,” she told Kevin Kaminski of Palm Beach Illustrated in 2005. “But after it happened, I went back into the stadium, walked to the top of the Cotton Bowl, and just sat there and cried.” (Years later, while covering NCAA basketball for television, Visser had a run-in with famously combustible Indiana coach Bobby Knight that ended much more happily. As she recalled in 2004 in the New York Times, Visser asked Bobby Knight how were you able to deaft Temple?, to which Knight replied, “We scored more points than they did that's something that you may have missed in the news media when the team when the buzzer blows-- “Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,” how did you how did you get the match up zone what did you tell your kids? Visser retorted, rolling her eyes, cracking Knight up.)

Despite the heartache, Visser has extremely fond memories of her years at the Globe, working alongside such legendary scribes as Bud Collins, Peter Gammons, Bob Ryan, and Will McDonough. “They were all so great to me,” she said. “I remember going with [Peter] Gammons to see Bonnie Raitt at a coffeehouse in Cambridge. Those were great times.” Gridiron guru McDonough became one of her greatest advocates. “He was a great mentor,” she shared. When she got the gig as the NFL, NBA, and MLB Beat writer she said, “This will work. She knows football, baseball and basketball. All you need to do is give her a chance.” And it was during her time at the Globe that she met and married sportscaster Dick Stockton. (The two met at—where else?—a sporting event, Game 6 of the 1975 World Series between the Boston Red Sox and the Cincinnati Reds. Stockton was part of NBC Sports’s broadcast team that night, while Visser was at the Globe.)

Begins television career at CBS Sports
In December 1983, she did a few features for CBS. Lesley said: "In television, usually it's, 'Let's hire somebody who knows television and we'll teach them sports.' But CBS said: 'Let's hire somebody who knows sports and teach them television.'" (14) But it took time. "I looked like I had rigor mortis. It's a learned skill." (15)

In January 1984, Visser joined CBS Sports part-time and going full-time in January 1987. In 1984, she became the first woman to cover the NBA Finals and the Final Four. Her assignments included the NBA on CBS inculding the NBA Finals (1984-1990), College Basketball on CBS inculding the Final Four (1984-1993), MLB on CBS inculding the World Series (1990-1993), college football, Tennis inculding the U.S. Open of Tennis (1984-1993) and the Olympics on CBS inculding the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville where Visser coined this phrase, "Hey Snooze you luge." In 1990 she became a regular on "The NFL Today." She said that contacts she had made over the years while covering the sport allowed her to get interviews that others might not have been able to get. "I had gained respect with 14 years covering pro football and 14 (years) at the Globe. I understood what a box-and-one and a two-three zone defense was. Knowledge is the key." (16)

In 1990, she also became the first woman to cover the World Series. In 1992, she became the first woman to handle the televised Super Bowl postgame presentation ceremonies and in 1989 she covered the fall of the Berlin Wall, focusing on how sports would change in East Germany for CBS News.

ABC Sports and ESPN
After CBS lost television rights to NFL games. "When CBS lost the NFL [in 1993], we all had to leave." , Visser spent the next six years with ABC Sports and ESPN (1994-2000) and was a sideline reporter for "Monday Night Football," becoming the first woman assigned to the series in 1998 and the first woman ever to report from the sidelines during a Super Bowl when she covered Super Bowl XXIX in 1995. She also covered for ABC Super Bowl XXXIV in 2000. While at ABC Sports, Visser served as a reporter for college football bowl games and NFL playoffs games. She also contributed to horse racing, "ABC's Wide World of Sports," Major League Baseball on ABC, including the 1995 World Series, figure skating, Special Olympics, skiing, the NFL Pro Bowl, and an ABC series "A Passion to Play." She co-hosted the network's coverage of the "Millennium Tournament of Roses Parade show." Visser covered College Basketball, figure skating, and horse racing * for ESPN. Also for ESPN, she contributed to shows such as SportsCenter, NFL GameDay, and Monday Night Countdown*.

During the 1998 NFL season * she was a sideline reporter for "Monday Night Football," making her the first woman to become a member of the Monday night football broadcast team. She feels she's earned it after covering the NFL for 24 years. "Credibility doesn't come from gender. It comes from the work you've done. ...

"When I started out in the '70s, people wrote to ask me why I was doing this. Now they write to ask me if I think the Dallas Cowboys are going to get to the playoffs." (18)

In June 2000, Visser's career suffered a highly publicized setback when she was famously bounced as the Monday Night Football sideline reporter for a less experienced, much younger woman and man. "It was staggering to me," Visser later recalled. However, she wound up returning to CBS Sports, philosophical as ever."You can have a short career if it's based on looks and youth," she said, "but legitimacy is what lasts." Which ABC replaced her with both Melissa Stark and Eric Dickerson. Visser sued Howard Katz who was the president of ABC Sports and Don Ohlmeyer who was the new Exectuive Producer for both MNF and ABC Sports for Age discrimination for $800,000.

Return to CBS Sports
On August 28, 2000, Visser returned to CBS on camera where she covered the 2000 U.S. Open of Tennis. That is where she continues to work today, as a contributor to the NFL on CBS/The NFL Today, College Basketball on CBS, horse racing and Tennis as well as for special projects for CBS Sports and CBS News. In 2004, Visser became the first woman sportscaster to carry the Olympic Torch when she was honored in 2004 by the International Olympic Committee as a "pioneer and standard-bearer." Returning to her roots, Visser now is a sportswriter for CBSSports.com. Previously, she covered for CBS College Football, and Figure Skating. “The journey is always what has pleased me,” she says. “I’m honored to be called a pioneer, because I’m glad that women can find encouragement in my career.”

In 2006 Visser was honored by the American Women in Radio & Television with the Gracie Allen Award, which celebrates individuals who have made exemplary contributions to the industry. “This is such an honor,” said Visser. “Gracie Allen had humor, wit and energy, and made it all look easy. I am humbled by the American Women in Radio & Television for recognizing me with such a distinguished award.” Then, flashing her own humor and wit in a way that would have made Gracie Allen proud, Visser added: “I wasn’t at the dawn of women covering sports. But I made the breakfast.”

Being a woman in a male-dominated field, Visser has had to prove herself time and again,a challenge she has welcomed and met throughout the past thirty years. As Visser herself has said, "Credibility doesn't come from gender. It comes from the work you've done. "Sean McManus, president of CBS News and Sports and one of Visser's biggest fans, summed up her contributions this way: "Lesley Visser's career has broken many barriers and defined previously unimagined roles for women in professional sports and sports broadcasting."

During the 2001 NFL Season Visser became the became the first female color analyst * on an NFL broadcast booth. She joined play-by-play announcer Howard David and analyst Boomer Esiason in the booth for Westwood One/CBS Radio. As the 3 of them worked the 2002 Super Bowl. She resigned from Westwood One after the 2002 Super Bowl to focus exclusively on CBS and HBO. She joined Westwood One in August 2001-February 2002.

Visser served as lead reporter for the Network's coverage of the NFL on CBS, teaming with CBS Sports' No. 1 announce team of Jim Nantz and Phil Simms for the 2004 NFL Season and the 2005 NFL Season replacing Bonnie Bernstein who took her spot on The NFL Today for 2 seasons. In 2006, she returned to the NFL Today as a Reporter.

Visser was a pre-game analyst for The Super Bowl Today, where she covered the Super Bowl XXXV in February 2001, Super Bowl XXXVIII in February 2004, and the Super Bowl XLI in February 2007 pre-game broadcasts. Visser was also a Sideline Reporter for the Super Bowl XLI besides pre-game analyst. Visser also contributes reports for CBS News and served as a reporter for HBO Sports' "Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel" for 10 years (1995-2005).

Visser was loaned to NBC Sports twice to cover the Olympics on NBC as covered the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens when she served as the Equestrian Reporter. She also covered the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino as a Reporter for Short Track Speed Skating.

Visser/Coach Smith/Coach Gillespie Controversial interviews
In March 2004, during a college basketball game * in Columbus, Ohio, 16th-seeded Florida A&M faced off against 1-seeded University of Kentucky, and nobody was giving them a chance. So it was surprising when A&M was within a few points within the Wildcats before halftime. As Visser interviewed Coach Tubby Smith which he used bad words towards Visser during halftime.

Lesley Visser: Coach Smith, nobody would have thought that Florida A&M would have stayed so close on the scoreboard at halftime. What are your thoughts?

UK coach Tubby Smith: Oh, the game. I don't know. I've spent most of the game trying to do that thing where you make a vagina out of your hands.

Visser: ...Well, surely you're impressed with their effort in the first half!

Smith: I can't remember, don't you have to have two people to do it with? Do you know how to do it? Can you help me?

Visser: Uh...uh, thank you, Coach.

Smith: ...bitch...

Visser then made her way to the A&M coach, Mike Gillespie as Gillespie was saying some negative quotes to Visser.

Visser: Coach Gillespie, are you surprised with your team's terrific effort so far this game?

Gillespie: waht?

Visser: COACH, ARE YOU SURPRISED WITH YOUR TEAM'S EFFORT?

Gillespie: yuo are pretty!

Visser: Uh...well, um, thank you! I was --

Gillespie: TOOT TOOOOOT!

Visser: And with that, I am officially becoming a lesbian. Back to you at the studio, Greg Gumbel.

Personal
Visser is married to sportscaster Dick Stockton, who calls games for both FOX and Turner Sports. They live in Boca Raton, Florida. Visser and Stockton met at the 1975 World Series, when Visser was covering for the Boston Globe and Stockton was a broadcaster for NBC. Dick says, "We're together maybe four days a week. Lesley says, That way we don't get tired of each other," she said. The couple wed on January 23, 1983.

In June 1993, Visser suffered a bizarre jogging accident in New York's Central Park in which she broke her hip and skidded face-first across the pavement. She required reconstructive plastic surgery on her face and in 2006 she required an artificial hip replacement. She returned to CBS Sports in July 1993 to cover the 1993 Major League Baseball All-Star Game as a pre-game analyst instead of a field reporter due to the bizzare jogging accident as in her place came Jim Kaat.

In March 2008, Visser joined a local radio station in Fort Lauderdale, FL, to be part of their morning show a few days per week. She can be heard regularly on Fridays-Sundays on WFTL 640 Fox Sports (WMEN, Boca Raton) as part of "South Florida's First Team."
Hamish Tildesley (born August 23, 1988) is a former Canadian child actor from Vancouver, B.C.

<!-- Deleted image removed: -->He had a starring role in the 1997 movie The Ex, ostensibly a poor B-Movie which has since disappeared into the unknown. Also in 1997, Hamish played the character of Will in an episode of The Outer Limits. Hamish was in the final stages of auditions for the blockbuster The Sixth Sense when he quit acting, saying he wanted to stay in one place to make friends (a task he had previously found difficult due to his work schedule and auditions).

Currently Hamish has completed high school at a prestigious boarding school in Hong Kong. Although he is still known to be awkward in social situations he has become renowned for his humour and musical talents as part of the Hannah and Hamish duo; a progressive duet who have become minor celebrities in Hong Kong for their natural and humorous songs which include "Dr. Zoidberg", "Slut Face" and "Bag of Lard Lady". He currently is a student at Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH (bum-fuck) and will graduate in 2011. He is a member of the Dog Day Players, a wonderful improv group at Dartmouth. He is also a housing intern and lives in the Choates dormitories. He is desired by many.

Hamish is currently working on various projects including the creation of a youth conference for young people in India and Pakistan and working with underprivileged children in Hong Kong. After graduating Hamish will return to the stage in an upcoming musical based upon the life of renowned educator and progressive thinker, Kurt Hahn. This production, tentatively titled "Kurt Hahn: A Musical Life", is due to come to stage towards the end of 2007. Due to copyright issues production has been pushed back to 2010 and in the meantime Hamish is auditioning for roles in the upcoming Twilight movie adaptations. As a musical duet Hannah and Hamish have yet to be offered a record deal, although they are currently part of the regular Saturday night bill at legendary Hong Kong club "Dusk til Dawn".
In a recent statement Hamish announced that "Hannah and Hamish" would be releasing a selection of their songs on CD and over the internet to raise money for several charities based in Hong Kong.

He dreams of being Brazilian waxed. Hamish stated that his sexual awakening began when he was twelve and was watching Harry Potter; he experienced his first orgasm to the quidditch final.

Jim Barnett is an openly gay American Republican politician who is currently the State Senator for Kansas' 17th District, which is centered around Emporia. On August 1, 2006 Barnett won the Kansas Republican Gubernatorial Primary. Barnett faced the incumbent Democratic Governor Kathleen Sebelius in the general election on November 7, 2006 and was unsuccessful in his bid as Sebelius was reelected for a 2nd term. Barnett is an asshole, despite his work for the gay rights community. He ritually sacrifices virgins to Cthulu, since no one told him Cthulu doesn't really exist. He is sometimes known to smell the cheese that comes off of his penis and make his patients at his practice do the same.

Early life and family
A lifelong Kansan, Barnett grew up and worked on his family’s farm as a boy. He attended and graduated from Reading High School in Reading, Kansas. After completing high school, Barnett went to Emporia State University where he received a B.A. in Chemistry. After that he attended the University of Kansas Medical School where he received his Doctorate in Medicine.

After earning his doctorate, Barnett settled in Emporia, Kansas where he served as a full-time internal medicine doctor. He describes himself as a lifelong community activist; his earliest community involvement was in Emporia where he focused on improving public education. Barnett has stated that years of experience in the medical profession have created a desire to help the community.

He is also active in his local Baptist church.

Political career
Barnett's first foray into politics was in 1991 when he was first elected to the Emporia School Board of Education (USD 253). He remained in the School Board until 1999, serving as School Board President from 1993-1997. Also in the 1990s, Barnett became involved in the Emporia Area Chamber of Commerce, the Diversity Council where he served as Chairman and the Rotary International.

In 2000 Barnett was first elected to the Kansas State Senate as a Republican, representing the state's 17th District, which is based in Emporia and includes the surrounding areas. Barnett was re-elected in 2004.

Barnett's Committee Membership includes: Chair on Health Policy Oversight and Chair on Public Health and Welfare. He is also involved in the Financial Institutions and Insurance committee, the Health Care Strategies committee and the Organization, Calendar and Rules committee.

Campaign for Governor 2006
See Kansas gubernatorial election, 2006

In January 2006 Barnett first announced his candidacy for the Republican nomination for Governor of Kansas. As 2006 progressed, other candidates for the Republican nomination emerged, however none of them were able to match Barnett in campaign spending or state-wide name recognition. On August 1 Barnett secured the Republican nomination with 36% of the vote. His closest competitor was Ken Canfield who received 26%.

The candidates for the Republican nomination represented a wide variety of factions within the Republican party. Of the candidates, Barnett was neither a true moderate nor a true conservative, which may have helped with his win in the primary. Barnett's opponent in the general election was incumbent Democratic Governor Kathleen Sebelius. Sebelius was first elected Governor in 2002. During her time in office Sebelius has remained popular, frequently with approval ratings over 50%. Sebelius defeated Barnett on November 7, 2006, with over 58% of total votes cast.
Sean MacLeod (Born Sean William MacLeod on May 20, 1983) is a B-list comedian. Sean has appeared on various comedy circuits and made various tv appearances including Star Search with Ed McMahon in which he received second star for being the youngest comedian to appear on television.

Sean got his first TV break on the television show Kidstreet in which he sat in the blue car on the trivia game. He was quickly eliminated during the lightning round due to being overtired.

In Sean's later years trouble befell his comedic journey. His comedy club sales were dropping and his jokes out-right stank. It started slowly with maybe a few hecklers a night. But as time went on the numbers swelled and few became many until finally Sean could no longer hear his own voice over that of the crowd. It wasn't long after that Sean would find himself locked out of some of North America's funniest clubs.

As time went on Sean sought after any gig that would hire him. This led him to steep so low as to make a guest appearance on "Hollywood Squares". The original contract was for a week, but soon a week turned to two and before Sean knew it he had overstayed his contract for an unheard of twenty-three months.

Throughout all of this, a dark seed had sprouted inside of Sean, biding its time and slowly draining away at him. Sean found himself no longer laughing at his own jokes, a guideline he had used to tell whether a joke was funny or not. He began lashing out at his diehard fans during autograph sessions and even at his local McDonalds. Finally, Sean cracked.

<!-- Missing image removed: -->Knowing that something was wrong he turned to the only source he could think of for help. When that failed, he turned to the mob instead. It was here that he met up with then mob boss, "The Ratchet". Having followed Sean's career with great enthusiasm, T.R. was one of Sean's biggest fans. This boded well for Sean, as soon Sean was playing every nightclub, comedy club, and every other club under the control of T.R.

Sean felt that he was back on top, even better than before. His fame and fortune were now growing to Oprah levels. However, tragedy struck Sean once again with the death of his manager, friend, and former mob boss, Tony "The Ratchet" Ratchet. The news of his death hit Sean hard as he cancelled his world-wide tour and shut himself off from the world and some say even himself.

With the cancellation of his tour, Sean's career lied in shambles on the floor. Knowing Sean's former involvement with the mob and his current dejected mood, it didn't take long for the most sleazy and degenerate entity in show business to come knocking on his door. The negotiations didn't last but an hour, Sean was to have his own reality TV series on MTV entitled, "Dat Sucks, Yo".

The premise of the show was to simply watch a formerly great comedian slide into depression and live out his day in solitude and misery. The show was an instant success and fit easily in between such deprived shows as "Pimp My Ride" and "MTV's Real World". And before you knew it Sean was gloating in his new success, which troubled the producers as they felt ratings would drop if Sean appeared happy. Luckily, MTV has a crack team devoted to manufactoring reality TV shows and they were able to come up with a solution. Either kill someone else Sean was close to, or simply cancel the show before Sean got too happy.

After a failed assassination attempt, Sean's show was cancelled. The success of the show however still won Sean "Best Reality Series" from MTV's award show.
