La Jetée is a [[Release Date:=1962|1962]] science fiction film directed by Chris Marker that tells an eerie tale of a post-apocyliptic Paris ravaged by a nuclear world war. The movie was the inspiration and basis for the 1995 Terry Gilliam film 12 Monkeys.
