Andrew Lande is a world traveler and international Food and Wine expert and writer. He was educated at the University of California and Trinity College, Dublin.[1]
Career
Beginning as a researcher for the magazines at TIME, Inc. he went on be an Editor for the Story Department at Touchstone Pictures, developing writers and screenplays that achieved modest success.[1] Lande's screen writing credits include the A&E Biography special, “Bob Hope: America's Entertainer”, drawing on his relationship with his grandfather.[2] Lande and his wife, Michelle Strickland, are the founders of MA’s Homemade Gourmet, specializing in organic specialty foods. [1] He is the son of noted author and journalist, Nathaniel Lande, and producer Linda Hope, daughter of the legendary Bob Hope.[2] Andrew Lande lives in North Hollywood, California. He currently serves as a Director of the Bob Hope Foundation which funds individuals and organizations in worthy causes. [3]
Bibliography
Lande co-authored The 10 Best of Everything, an Ultimate Guide for Travelers,[4][5] published by National Geographic Books, with his father.[6] They donated the profits to International Committee of the Red Cross.[7]
He also authored The Cigar Connoisseur, An Illustrated History and Guide to the World’s Finest Cigars, published by Clarkson Potter, an imprint of Random House.[8]
