In the spring of 2010 Savy became a West Coast finalist for the [[Anthem IMF]] singing competition but, lost to [[XOCH]] who reigned as the winner.
 
 
 
The singer signed a record deal with [[Tunii Records]] in the fall of 2012<ref>http://tunii.com/song/87</ref> in which he released his single "Sweet (Like Candy)" self written and produced. Following the single, to garner more success Savy has also auditioned for NBC's [[The Winner Is]] in which he was call backed but, didn't advance to the live shows{{citation needed}}. In January 2013, he then released his mixtape ''Thinking Out Loud'' mixtape with his new jazz-house single "IDGAF (If I Lose You Tonight)" February 2013.
