Blue Bay South

Blue Bay South is a charitable gaming distributor headquartered in Jackson, Michigan. Licensed by the Michigan Lottery Charitable Gaming Division, Blue Bay provides charity game tickets (pulltabs), bingo supplies, electronic handhelds, and other gaming equipment to its customer base of nonprofit organizations, fraternal clubs, and others.

History

Founded as Bob’s Bingo Supply in 1990 by Bob Robinson as a “hobby after my early retirement from Consumers”, it began as a small Jackson business operating primarily “out of the back of my van”. “Bingo Bob” as he became known in the industry soon grew the business and began attracting customers in neighboring cities. In 1997, Bob’s son Rob moved back to Michigan, from New York and became a partner in the company. In 1999, they incorporated the business as Blue Bay South (maintaining the original business’ initials) and began to expand further across Michigan. In 2001, the Charitable Gaming Division in Michigan began allowing electronic handheld devices (electronic bingo) at charity bingos. Immediately thereafter, Blue Bay introduced electronic handhelds to the charitable bingo market. In 2006, Blue Bay acquired JD Bingo Supply located in Bay City, Michigan. In 2008, Blue Bay acquired their largest in-state competitor, Fraternal Enterprises based in Flint, Michigan, and with that deal they also acquired a majority interest in American Bingo located in Whitehall, Michigan. In 2008, Blue Bay launched their successful Wholesale Bingo Supplies ([1]) website and began distributing bingo and raffle items worldwide. Now nonprofits and those who want to be entertained with bingo from around the world could easily and affordably purchase bingo and other raffle goods for social functions.

Location

Blue Bay South is located in a quiet industrial park in Jackson, Michigan.

Known for their friendliness and fast distribution network, Blue Bay and its staff are also recognized as bingo game and bingo equipment experts. Not every bingo program is created equal, and Blue Bay often advises customers (including tribal casinos) on program design and electronic handheld and computer integration.

Their distribution network now includes facilities in Bay City, Flint (Fraternal Enterprises), Whitehall (American Bingo), Muskegon, and Kalamazoo.

Manufacturers

Blue Bay has strong relationships with the top manufacturers in the bingo and pulltab industry. These manufacturers are known for their quality and gaming integrity and include American Games, Arrow International, Inc., Bingo King, Video King, Aeon Gaming, and many others.

Causes

Blue Bay helps a number of nonprofits organizations in and out of its client base. Nonprofit customers include American Legions, Fraternal Order of Eagles, American Legions, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and many other veteran, church, and civic organizations.
