The most underrated movie of the 1990s, but one of the best. Penned by the master, Patricia Arquette reverting to her reptilian brain. Pure awesome!
J'adore la nouvelle vague. Godard, Tu es le chef du cinema francais pendant les 1950s et serias toujour ma favori.
The classic biker flick. Two men, two bikes, a killer soundtrack
The perfect end to an amazing trilogy. Pure entertainment at its finest directed by a more than competent Sam Raimi.
The defining Bergman flick of all time. Man vs. Death to the death! As an interesting sidebar Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey spoofs the flick, in a stupid yet intelligent manner. I'm probably the only person to "get it" since the films inception.

Andrew Garrett Minks (born circa 1989 in Houston, Texas) is a senior at Cinco Ranch High School. However the "No Child Left Behind" act left me behind allowing me to pursue an eclectic knowledge of cinema, television, music, history, and other Jeopardy worthy topics.

I am a full fledged wiki-expert and wiki developer through my Page Creations business which optimizes centiare listings. I also founded the centiare store and created a free public domain theater. Let's see, ah, trivial to most, everything to me: I recently purchased an absolutely amazing habereno red 2007 Honda Civic Si coupe; Her name is Eleanor. I emplore you to read on, I'm either really interesting or self-absorbed or both, you decide...

Centiare Projects

Page Creations

Page Creations is a company I founded that for a fee will create a high quality centiare listing displaying whatever it is you seek using all of knowledge of Search Engine Optimization to place you or your entity at the top of any google search.

Public Domain Theater

Public Domain Theater is a project I'm working on that "shows nothing but the best public domain movies and music videos available on the old interweb". Along with a high quality embedded video each listing includes, posters, background details, and interesting trivia. Here is the list so far. It grows by a few videos each day.

Centiare Store

The Centiare Store is the official one stop shop to purchase any and all of the wonderful centiare merchandise your heart desires. After watching Fight Club +/- 10 times Tyler Durden will probably kill me for creating this but the green makes the world go round and keeps you from getting railroaded. Huh, I guess he's an elite/class theorist.

Views

Political

My political evolution has been rapid but done in a fairly intelligent manner. After bouncing down basically the same path for the past few years I have become an ardent Libertarian. I'm a "South Park Republican" and a "Daily Show Democrat" with huge respect for George Carlin and Milton Friedman. I would say I wish the government could just deliver the mail but they seem to fail at that as well. I'm laissez-faire on absolutely everything besides the environment. We are a tiny blue marble in an unquantifiably big ocean of nothing. The browner the marble gets the closer we get losing our few thousand years of organized knowledge. Finally, I feel job number one two and three of our government protecting the Bill of Rights at all costs. As long as you don't infringe on my personal liberties do whatever you want. Sodomy, any of the -filias besides pedo-, Kevorkian machines, it's all good.

Religious

After going back and forth from agnosticism to athiesm for a while I finally found my calling. The Flying Spaghetti Monster will bless us all one day with his Noodly Appendage. Everlasting peace with a beer volcano and a stripper factory and no tithing! I also try really hard to adhere to the eight "I'd Really Rather You Didn'ts."[1]

The Wiki-Industrial Complex

The wiki system puts the collective minds of the world together moving the human race (who's winning?) forward much faster than the library at Alexandria. However people are generally stupid and destructive creatures so modifications are nessesary. I have been editing Wikipedia for over 2 years and 3,000 edits, the utopian vision still burns bright but idiot IP address are slowly bending wikipedia over and thrusting.

Bring in Centiare, an infant still working out the kinks, but, at least it's running OS10 instead of XP. It allows glory whores to covet their own unique piece of cyberspace with opinions and everything! At 3,300ish articles strong the quadratic is still for all intensive purposes flat but I have hope.

Interests

Films

Let me preface this by saying - I'm a huge film guy - I love the stuff. I'm also a movie guy too which means i'll watch something by Fellini then turn around and watch revenge of the nerds for the tenth time. For a more complete list of films that have graced my presence see the note.[2]

Favorite Ever:
1. Pulp Fiction
2. The Big Lebowski
3. Cidade de Deus
4. Goodfellas
5. À bout de souffle

Music

I really enjoy music but to be honest I'm more of a film guy. Don't get me wrong listening to the solo in hotel california is great but watching luc besson's camera work in the professional kicks considerably more ass. That said hearing comfortably numb is still better than watching all but the best cinema. For a bigger list of favorites see this note.[3]

TOP FIVE:
1. Pink Floyd
2. Jimi Hendrix
3. Rage against the machine
4. Bob Marley
5. Van Halen (Not Van Hagar)

Quotes

In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder, bloodshed — they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland, they had brotherly love, five hundred years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock.

-Harry Lime (Orson Welles from the Third Man)

Most people rebel because they want to be accepted or admired by others.
Democracies rarely exhibit much authoritarian behavior except in transition to or from authoritarian states. Many (if not most) citizens of authoritarian states do not perceive their state as authoritarian until late in its development. This makes it difficult to label modern states as 'democratic' or 'authoritarian'. People make this difficulty worse when they use these terms without clear definitions. - Wikipedia
I AM big. It's the PICTURES that got small.

-Norma Desmond (Sunset Boulevard)

Are you gonna bark all day, little doggy, or are you gonna bite?

-Mr. Blonde

It's better to burn out than to fade away

-Hey Hey, My My (Into The Black)

That's like your opinion man

-The Dude (The Big Lebowski)

Developers! Developers! Developers! Developers! Developers! Developers! Developers! Developers! Developers! Developers! Developers! Developers! Developers! Developers! Developers! Developers!

-Steve Ballmer

You have all one job today, to get Vincent Chase's brother Johnny Chase a job. Any job. I don't care if it is a porn shoot in which he is being gang-raped by a gaggle of silverback apes. If there are cameras rolling, everybody wins.

Footnotes and References

  1. ^
    1. I'd Really Rather You Didn't Act Like a Sanctimonious Holier-Than-Thou Ass When Describing My Noodly Goodness. If Some People Don't Believe In Me, That's Okay. Really, I'm Not That Vain. Besides, This Isn't About Them So Don't Change The Subject.
    2. I'd Really Rather You Didn't Use My Existence As A Means To Oppress, Subjugate, Punish, Eviscerate, And/Or, You Know, Be Mean To Others. I Don't Require Sacrifices, And Purity Is For Drinking Water, Not People.
    3. I'd Really Rather You Didn't Judge People For The Way They Look, Or How They Dress, Or The Way They Talk, Or, Well, Just Play Nice, Okay? Oh, And Get This In Your Thick Heads: Woman = Person. Man = Person. Samey - Samey. One Is Not Better Than The Other, Unless We're Talking About Fashion And I'm Sorry, But I Gave That To Women And Some Guys Who Know The Difference Between Teal and Fuchsia.
    4. I'd Really Rather You Didn't Indulge In Conduct That Offends Yourself, Or Your Willing, Consenting Partner Of Legal Age AND Mental Maturity. As For Anyone Who Might Object, I Think The Expression Is Go F*** Yourself, Unless They Find That Offensive In Which Case They Can Turn Off the TV For Once And Go For A Walk For A Change.
    5. I'd Really Rather You Didn't Challenge The Bigoted, Misogynist, Hateful Ideas Of Others On An Empty Stomach. Eat, Then Go After The B*******.
    6. I'd Really Rather You Didn't Build Multimillion-Dollar Churches/Temples/Mosques/Shrines To My Noodly Goodness When The Money Could Be Better Spent (Take Your Pick):
      1. Ending Poverty
      2. Curing Diseases
      3. Living In Peace, Loving With Passion, And Lowering The Cost Of Cable
I Might be a Complex-Carbohydrate Omniscient Being, But I Enjoy The Simple Things In Life. I Ought To Know. I AM the Creator.
    1. I'd Really Rather You Didn't Go Around Telling People I Talk To You. You're Not That Interesting. Get Over Yourself. And I Told You To Love Your Fellow Man, Can't You Take A Hint?
    2. I'd Really Rather You Didn't Do Unto Others As You Would Have Them Do Unto You If You Are Into, Um, Stuff That Uses A Lot of Leather/Lubricant/Las Vegas. If the Other Person Is Into It, However (Pursuant To #4), Then Have At It, Take Pictures, And For The Love Of Mike, Wear a CONDOM! Honestly, It's A Piece of Rubber. If I Didn't Want It To Feel Good When You Did It I Would Have Added Spikes, Or Something.
