Dick Lawrence was popular Chicago & Chicago suburbs radio personality who for around 20 years hosted mostly the Roaring 20's hour long radio program called "Dick Lawrence Week in Review." His shows brought back nostalgia, time gone but not forgotten, it feats Beatles song well:

"Yesterday, love was such an easy game to play, but I believe in yesterday. That is my first professional song recorded wehn I was 18."

There are over 200 shows in existance but now rarely they are herd. The shows were mostly combination of authentic music sometimes even going all the way back to 1888, and stories from the insane prohibition era, 1920's. Unfortuntely greedy 97.1 owners sold the station to some other greedy station for over 70 million dollars. It was very shameful act!

Lawrence's program is classified under OTR, old time radio! These eras from 1920's until 1950's ruled the roost! Still do, always will. Shows like Great Gildersleeve, Honest Harold, luigi n many others. Many radio shows were later transfered to tv format. Great Gildersleeve shows without Hal Peary were cheezy!
