InfoCommerce Group Inc.(ICG), founded in 1995, is the leading consulting, publishing, conference and research company focused on the data publishing industry. ICG's mission is to stay in the center of the dynamic and growing database industry to identify trends, opportunities and best practices, and communicate them back to the industry.

History

InfoCommerce Group Inc. (ICG), originally known as The Perkins Group Ltd., was formed in 1995 to address the radical transformation of the information industry that was occurring, by providing guidance, research and advice to producers of commercial database content. Over the last ten years, ICG has established itself as the thought leader in exploring, charting, analyzing and defining the most important issues reshaping the database business.

ICG's founder, Russell Perkins, is well known as a leader and innovator in the database information industry. In addition to authoring two books in the field, Russell's articles have appeared in publications such as Folio, Circulation Management, Publishing & Production Executive and Target Marketing, and he has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times and profiled in the Philadelphia Inquirer. Russell also speaks regularly at leading industry conferences on topics relating to database publishing.

In 2003, ICG acquired the National Directory Conference (renamed the InfoCommerce Conference) and the Report on Directory Publishing (renamed the (InfoCommerce Report) from Simba Information, at the time a unit of Primedia.
