"Sarey Savy" also known as Rey or Synthkid (born March 1, 1996) is a Cambodian ocassional actor and an occassional singer-songwriter. Although not much popularity, he is globally known from "America's Got Talent". He is the viral attention to Gather.com bloggers who target him.
Personal Life
Sarey has two sisters and one brother he is in the 8th grade but, due to unknown reasons he started school a year late. In June 2010, Savy came out as Bisexual and explains "This may be who i am".
Career
The singer's career started when he garnered attention on becoming one of AGT's "Top 40 YouTube Performers" which the main role of "Alex" was given to Savy for the independent film Sanitorium.
Acting
The singer is slated be a part of another upcoming film as stated on Facebook. He recently finished filming Sanitorium in July 2010 and is now trying to make his debut as an actor. Sanitorium remains unreleased as of November, 2010.
Music
Savy released his new promotional single Murderer which was commercially unsuccessful, Yet still has had airplay. Sarey has stated the first single is to be released in late 2010 or early 2011 with a new team. As stating on OceanUp.com, the singer says his main focus is to portray a party-like image just like Kesha for people to see he is growing up. His first single is to be called "Let's Talk About Sex" which will display Sarey's bisexuality by using the rainbow triangle symbolized with a heterosexual sign and gay sign Template:Fact and a preview was posted on his Facebook also, Youtube [1]. "Synthkid" is Sarey's mononym name "I produce beats and wanted something simple and effective".
Sarey has been chosen behalf of Anthem's International Music Festival also known as IMF as the winner of being the representative for Seattle in a singing contest which he advanced to the top 70 for Washington state and as announcing the finalists Savy did not advanced to the finals as of December 5, 2010[2].
Voice
In pop music Savy's voice lies in the range of a tenor but, sings a little higher.
Philanthropy
Sarey has also helped Haiti after the hard 9.0 magnitude earthquake by raising/volunteering to recieve $10,000 alongside the "British Red Cross" [3].
He also joined 5 campaigns NOH8 and Think Before You Speak. Also Savy's 3rd campaign Glee.com a place to meet other gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender people as of September 2010 [4]. He is also in the process of joining a new website as a spokesperson named "The YOT" (The Youth Out There) [5]. Along with pop singer Ke$sha, Tim Gunn, Anne Hathaway and other celebrities Sarey Savy joined the "It Gets Better" project to help stop gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender bullying in a video uploaded, October 9, 2010 Savy is shown trying to hold back tears while speaking for the project [6].
Glee.com has nominated Sarey to be on the list as "One Of The Top 100 Sexiest gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender supporters" for their first magazine/issue [7].
Sarey also volunteers alongside "The Humane Society" to help animals. [8].
Controversy
On KHMER.CC there is a controversy about Savy coming out as Bisexual. One says "He is too young to be coming out at an early age. Possibly he is an experimental bisexual male." Another says, "Kids his age are figuring out who they are and should be proud they are not hiding no more" [9].
Savy has threatened to attack until death as stated by a friend on Savy's personal Facebook and a local says "Sarey needs to go to anger management and a rehab for mental illness". [10]Others such as friends have encouraged Sarey to leave the situation, which the problem was kept confidential. A note from the actor himself has been posted via Facebook [11].
