Welcome!

Hi Jula, welcome to MyWikiBiz. We're happy that you've taken the steps to become a member of our site. MyWikiBiz is a directory where any person, any company, any product, or any thing can author their own legacy. We seek to provide the space for 265 million entities. Our registered editors like you have generated over 60,000 pages so far -- help keep that number growing with an article about yourself, your business, your industry, your favorite product, hobby, or organization. Since 2008, MyWikiBiz.com has served up over 1 million page views. Get started authoring your legacy today!

Helpful tips

Here are some tips on how to create a Directory listing and take advantage of the semantic web features we have in place:

 • You may write as an opinionated advocate in the Directory -- neutral view is not required. You can sell products, promote videos, upload documents, even host your own Google AdSense ads. This auto-fill form will guide you through creating a very basic directory listing right now.
 • Because MyWikiBiz supports Semantic Web technology, search engine results are highly optimized. Internal searches can also be performed that wouldn't be possible on Google, MySpace, or Wikipedia.

A few favorite pages that might help acquaint a new user with the possibilities are found among the Demonstration links, or in these articles written by independent reviewers.

Geolocation

Jula, your listing looks great. You might consider dropping in your geocodes - you can find them here - and then add them to the reference section within the infobox template. The example shown below used at Centiare also adds a bunch of cool map links.

Edit as necessary within the infobox:

reference =
Year End: 12/31
<br>NAICS: NAICS_Code1:=51811
<br>Entity: [[Entity_Type:=LLC|LLC]]
<br>Region:
[[Region1:=Orange County|[[Directory:Orange County|The
OC]]]]
<br>Latitude: 33°39'26.64"
<br>Longitude: -117°58'4.8"

Add this to the bottom of your page. Let me know if it works for Europe. We can create a new template ie Mapit-EU-cityscale if not.

Geolocation
33.6574

Subpages

Jula, we've been developing some different semantic tags to help create product/service roll-ups. KJ Kitchens has been creating a series of books via ASK queries that are comprised of individual page listings. It looks like you might be doing something similar with product listings - if you'd like, we'd be happy to work with you to create some software roll-up tags.

Oh, one other thing: you might consider creating product/service subpages under your primary directory listing, rather than creating separate stand-alone directory listings for each. Since Centiare employs a flat-structure and enables the use of semantic tags to organize information in a hierarchical manner (ie info can still be assembled within primary directory listings regardless of where it's located), technically, it really doesn't matter.

However, if there is a legal entity that has a business name (and web domain) similar to your product listing, control over that particular directory name may go to them. That problem is eliminated if you put products/services in subpages within your own directory listing(s).

To create a subpage, just type a forward slash (/) after your directory listing, then the name of the product or service. Examples:

Directory:Eltima_Software/Flash
Directory:Eltima_Software/SWF
Directory:Eltima_Software/FLA

Let me know if you have any problems. Since we need to finish up our product/service roll-up tags, I'd really like to work with you on developing them for your listing. Snerfling 06:04, 26 January 2007 (PST)

Scripts

Jula, if you have any scripts available, you may want to demonstrate some of your software features. Here are some examples of the types of flash/java scripts available at Centiare via the <embed>...</embed> tag. Snerfling 10:11, 16 May 2007 (PDT)

ASK Query

I took the liberty of demonstrating the product roll-up facility via an ASK query. Not only does it eliminate the need to manually manage a product list, but the respective semantic tags for each product provide important reference points to improve SEO. Snerfling 05:54, 18 May 2007 (PDT)
