Shri Vikramjit Singh Sahney is a philanthropist, social worker and a reformist, is the Chairman of Sun Foundation - a charitable institution, and International President, World Punjabi Organisation, eternally dedicated to the welfare of mankind and bringing together the NRI community with mainstream India.

Born on 20th Februrary 1962, Shri Sahney is supporting 'Educate a Widow's Child Fund' and is also patron of 'Roko Cancer Project'. Under his leadership, Sun Foundation is involved in various activietes such as helping riot victims by arranging marriages of their daughters, providing aid to victims os Tsunami disaster and other calamities. The Foundation has also adpoted economically weak students of rural Punjab for integrated engineering course at Punjabi University. he is also supporting De-addiction Centre in Punjab and running education centre for imparting training for job oriented courses for disabled and handicapped children.

As International President of World Punjabi Organisation, Shri Sahney is actively promoting social, economic and cultural bondage among the Indian Diaspora all over the globe. He has undertaken over 100 projects and programmes to promote the rich Cultural heritage of Punjab. He has had the honour of celebrating Guru Nanak Dev Ji's Birthday in President House and Prime Minister House for several years. Shri Sahney has produced many light and sound shows like 'Bole So Nihal', 'Guru Manyo Granth' and has been instrumental in installing a equestrian statue of Sher-e-Punjab Maharaja Ranjit Singh in Parliament House. Shri Sahney is also Secretary General of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Trust and has been organising Secretary of Sher-e-Punjab Maharaja Ranjit Singh Bicentennial National Celebrations Committee.

Shri Sahney has been promoting social and cultural relations of India with countries like South Africa, UK, Canada etc. He sponsored celebrations of 100 years of launching of Satyagraha by Mahatama Gandhi in South Africa. He representing India in SAARC Forum to bring peace and prosperity in SAARC region and had undertaken pioneering work in Indo-Pakistan peace process for over a decade.

Shri Sahney has presented papers on Indian Economic Policies at various international conferences and is guest faculty in various academic institutions or repute. He is Executive Member of FICCI, Senate Member of Guru Nanak Dev University, and Vice President of Baba Farid Memorial Society.

Shri Sahney has received many awards including Mother India International Award 1992, Arch of India Gold Award for 1993, Rashtriya Gaurav Award 2004, Community Service Award by Asian Who's Who International UK, Millennium Sikh Award, Community Service Award, and Top Professional of the year Award. He also received memento from Sir Demund Hillary for his contribution to the cause of Himalayan Environment.
