Most free internet dating sites make their money through click ads or affiliate advertising. Every time a user clicks on an ad the web site owner either makes a small portion for each click or in the affiliate advertising world the owner would make money if that click leads into the customer buying a service or product.

Just like social networking sites, free internet dating is much like Television. While we pay money to receive the TV signal or in this case internet connection, the act of watching or visiting a show or site is free.
